NOTICE OF VACANCY ON THE Gore Hill County Water District
POSITION AVAILABLE: ELECTED BOARD MEMBER
The Gore Hill Water District is seeking an eligible and motivated individual to fill a vacancy on its board, created by the resignation of Mercy Padgett effective 29 November 2025. The appointed member will serve until the next regularly scheduled election in 2027.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Attend and actively participate in all board meetings, typically held twice a month The Second and Forth Tuesday.
- Engage with the community and represent the interests of the constituents.

Qualifications:
- Must be a registered voter, resident and member of the district with property within the boundary of the Gore Hill Water District.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and goals of the Gore Hill County Water District.

Interested and qualified individuals must submit the following items by Application Deadline Date 12 January 2026:
- A letter of interest detailing your motivation to serve.
- A current resume or statement of qualifications.

The board will review applications and interview candidates at a public meeting on 27 January 2026. The appointment will be made by a majority vote of the remaining board members.
